Swedish designers Humans since 1982 have created a digital clock made of 24 analogue clocks, which spell out the time with their hands.

The designers have also developed a typeface derived from letter forms created by banks of clocks.

The prototype Clock Clock will be exhibited at the Rhösska design museum in Göteborg from June till mid August 2009.

N.E.R.D not detained in KL and cancel Indonesian concert

wtf?what happen to our nation authorities?

Sunburst Music Festival is finally over and done with, but drama ensues. News has been circulating on the internet that N.E.R.D were allegedly being detained in KL by Malaysian authorities and that their passports were confiscated after their Sunburst performance on.

It all started with problems with performance permits. Says Jakarta Post, authorities rejected two permit requests for NERD to perform in Malaysia because "the way the group members dressed was obscene". (??) The show went on as usual but as soon as it was over, Pharrell and Co.'s passports were allegedly confiscated. The Jakarta Globe reveals that NERD were "allegedly threatened with jail by Malaysian authorities and feared a repeat situation in Indonesia".

So NERD were bummed out and decided to cancel their concert in Jakarta (which was supposed to happen last night), and organisers Java Festival Production and Urbanite-Sinjitos are already offering refunds. We checked with the Pineapple peeps to find out what's up and they confirmed that NERD did leave Malaysia yesterday, but did not reveal why they cancelled their Jakarta show.

Last night KOЯN performance was really f*cking AWESOME! Ray Luzier is the GREAT drummer! who said nu-metal is death? Im really big fan of KOЯN since I form 2,still remember the first time i heard 'ARE YOU READY!-blind' on my MIRC script opener.Since that,KORN is one of the most influence band in my life.Some people just enjoying song when its popular, but not for me-im long live loyal fan,music lover. \/

Speaking to Junk before hitting the stage for the first time in Malaysia and for the first time this year, singer Jonathan Davis promised a great show for long time Malaysian fans. "I don't know what to expect from Malaysia," Davis said. "I can't wait to play for a country that I've never been to or played for. We're going to go all out and do our best to perform, and give the best show to everyone out there. We haven't played in three months now so it's definitely going to be a special show for us."

"It is with sincere regret that we announce the cancellation of Erykah Badu's performance at Sunburst KL09. Due to personal reasons unbeknown to Pineapple Concerts, Erykah Badu's party has confirmed that she must give Kuala Lumpur a pass.
Due to the last minute cancellation, Pineapple Concerts was unable to get a replacement in time for Sunburst KL09 on 21st March.
Our deepest apologies to all Erykah Badu fans. And all the best to Erykah Badu.

Rihanna Postpones Malaysian Concert

Citing "recent events involving Rihanna," event organizers in Malaysia have postponed a concert she was scheduled to perform at this week.

Reps for the show were quick to point out that the concert scheduled for February 13 is not canceled -- but rather Rihanna's people will come up with a make-up date sometime in the next two weeks. The show in Kuala Lumpur drew heavy press after Rihanna agreed to conform with Malaysia's strict rules on performers' outfits.

As we first reported, Rihanna is the victim in an allegedly brutal attack involving boyfriend Chris Brown.

Butterfingers's last shows before indefnite hiatus

One of Malaysia’s biggest bands, Butterfingers, is inviting you to catch them in a first ever four shows back to back musical extravaganza to be held at the prestigious Dewan Lambang Sari of Istana Budaya, in January 2009. The showcase will be the first Butterfingers full band line up since the release of their hugely acclaimed 6^th studio album, KEMBALI, six months ago, and will be the last time the band play together before they go on indefinite hiatus when vocalist Emmett leaves Malaysia to work in Canada (and Loque is going back to Boston, only coming back end of 2009). During the four shows, Butterfingers will showcase their biggest hits from all their six albums, 1.2 Milligrams, Butterworth Pushful, Transcendence, Malayneum, Selamat Tinggal Dunia and their latest Kembali. Also featured will be two opening bands that have enjoyed recent popularity and success, Hujan and Bunkface. All featured bands have had singles climb local music charts like X-Fresh, Hitz.FM, Era.FM and even MTV Asia, and have also been chosen as Bands of the Year by magazines like KLue and ROTTW. Both Hujan and Bunkface will open for Butterfingers on the one day only special unplugged performance on the 17^th of January. The 18^th of January will see Butterfingers in full swing covering a comprehensive repertoire of 12 years worth of their noteworthy hit songs. Butterfingers along with the aforementioned bands have been integral in taking the Malaysian music industry to the next level, and together with Istana Budaya, we feel we can raise the standards even higher. SESI ISTANA BUDAYA BUTTERFINGERS will kick start 2009 in the most musically uplifting way and we would be honoured to share this journey with you.
