Sunburst Music Festival is finally over and done with, but drama ensues. News has been circulating on the internet that N.E.R.D were allegedly being detained in KL by Malaysian authorities and that their passports were confiscated after their Sunburst performance on.
It all started with problems with performance permits. Says Jakarta Post, authorities rejected two permit requests for NERD to perform in Malaysia because "the way the group members dressed was obscene". (??) The show went on as usual but as soon as it was over, Pharrell and Co.'s passports were allegedly confiscated. The Jakarta Globe reveals that NERD were "allegedly threatened with jail by Malaysian authorities and feared a repeat situation in Indonesia".
So NERD were bummed out and decided to cancel their concert in Jakarta (which was supposed to happen last night), and organisers Java Festival Production and Urbanite-Sinjitos are already offering refunds. We checked with the Pineapple peeps to find out what's up and they confirmed that NERD did leave Malaysia yesterday, but did not reveal why they cancelled their Jakarta show.

how obscene NERD's dressing can possibbly be?haha.biase la tu..im x suprised.Msian authorities particularly have a lot more to learn with regard to dress code.they need to work on something to upgrade their u/standing on it.suggestion..they might want to check on the local artistes as well.esp. the female.br la unbiased!tolonglah Negaraku!!!
